Why Frapez Detox Program? |
| Detoxification is one of the body's most basic automatic functions of eliminating and neutralizing toxins through the colon, liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph and skin. It simply means that you get rid of toxins that have built up over the time in your body. Unfortunately in this day and age, with the pollution found in the air, water and food we eat, our bodies have a hard time keeping up. Our unbalanced, low quality and chemicalized diet with too much animal protein, too much saturated and trans fats, too much caffeine and alcohol radically changes our internal ecosystem.
Body systems and organs that were once capable of cleaning out unwanted substances are now completely over-loaded to the point where toxic material remains inside our tissues. Stored toxins inhibit the efficiency of many biochemical processes that allow your body to function optimally. The greater the toxic load on the body, the greater the chance that you will become ill. |
How does Frapez Detox work? The Frapez detox program, designed by a certified nutritionist, can help your body's natural cleaning process by:
|
How Do You Know if You Need to Detoxify? |
| Our nutritionist suggests that everyone should detox at least once a year. A short detoxifying program is generally safe; in fact, scientific studies show that a detox is beneficial for health. However, our nutritionist cautions against detoxifying for nursing mothers, children, and patients with chronic degenerative diseases, cancer or tuberculosis.
We recommend our detox program for symptoms such as unexplained fatigue, sluggish elimination, irritated skin, allergies or low-grade infections; bags under the eyes; a distended stomach even if the rest of your body is thin; menstrual difficulties; or mental confusion. |
Where Do You Begin? |
| First, lighten up your toxin load! Eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined sugars and saturated fats, all of which act as toxins in the body and are obstacles to your healing process. Also, minimize use of chemical-based household cleaners and personal health care products (cleansers, shampoos, deodorants and toothpastes), and substitute natural alternatives.
We recommend that you start frapez detox program early in the morning. For first timers to detox program we recommend 3-5 days and for people that already done detox up to 7 days. The main elimination process of impurities and toxins out of the body usually happens after second day which will produce noticeable energy increase. Another obstacle to good health is stress, which triggers your body to release stress hormones into your system. While these hormones can provide the "adrenaline rush" to win a race or meet a deadline, in large amounts they create toxins and slow down detoxification enzymes in the liver. So it's a good idea to detox stressful life situations along with detoxifying your body. Yoga and meditation are simple and effective ways to relieve stress by resetting your physical and mental reactions to the inevitable stress life will bring. |
Possible Side Effects |
| You may thing that because you are detoxifying you should immediately feel wonderful. In some cases this is not true especially if you are doing a Detox program for the first time. During the Frapez Detox many toxins are being released from the liver into the bloodstream. Kidneys will filter it out but it can take time. If you have followed an unhealthy, non-organic diet and have been subjected to many hormones and harmful chemicals, your body may feel sick. |
Therefore, for the first 2 days of the Frapez Detox you may experience the following symptoms:
|
| These symptoms are normal and will pass in most cases after the 3rd day of the Detox program as the body gets rid of the toxins. It is important that during this time you follow the Detox plan and drink large amounts of pure water and mineral rich beverages to help the body rid itself of the toxins. It is also important not to subject yourself to other toxins or ill people because your body will be working hard and your immune system may be compromised. |
The outcome of a successful detox experience!

3-Day Detox Program Experience! |

Initial Consultation |
|

Today was the first day of my initial consultation for the 3 day detox program I will embark on. I am nervous and really have no idea what to expect. I have never tried a detox program of any kind before now. Arriving at Frapez, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the store. The products were neat and orderly and I wandered over to a wall lined with informative brochures on virtually every item in Frapez smoothies. On first impression, I am relieved to discover there are no sugars or additives in any of the Frapez creations. Everything is truly is 100% natural. |
Nino, the staff certified nutritionist, sat down with me near a sunny window to discuss my individual dietary needs. He gave me a list of all of the products I would be using for the detox program. At this point- I realized I would not be eating any insects! In fact, I will not be eating much solid food at all. The program consists of mostly liquids: juices made from select organic ingredients. I can eat solid foods, but strictly in moderation. The program is aimed primarily at liver health- a major organ with over 400 functions. |

Nino explained that detoxification is one of the body's most basic automatic processes of eliminating and neutralizing toxins through the colon, liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph and skin. We discussed all of the factors that contribute to the build up of toxins in the human body: air and water pollution, chemicalized diet with too much animal protein, too much saturated and Trans fats and too much caffeine and alcohol. Nino explained to me that when I ingest such toxins my body systems and organs that were once capable of cleaning out unwanted substances are now completely over-loaded to the point where toxic material remains inside my tissues. He explained that these stored toxins inhibit the efficiency of many biochemical processes that allow my body to function optimally. The greater the toxic load on the body, the greater the chance that you will become ill. Like most Americans, I am far too busy to become ill. |

Together we discussed my health goals for completing this program. Just so you have an idea of who I am and my normal diet: I am 5'2 tall and weigh 105 lbs. I exercise by walking and running three miles on average of 3 times per week. My average diet consists of healthy foods: a lot of produce and vegetables, animal meat such as chicken and turkey with the occasional red meat. I do cheat by eating the occasional slice of pizza and bread. I am also a self proclaimed "chocoholic" and consume chocolate daily. My alcohol consumption is relatively low as I only drink an occasional glass of wine about one day a week. Thus, my goal with this program is not weight loss, but to return my body to a healthy point so that I can continue to improve my eating habits. |

Of course nothing is without sacrifice; there are possible side effects I could experience. Nino outlined them as:

He reassured me that these symptoms are normal and will pass in most cases after the 3rd day of the detox program as my body gets rid of the toxins.

I'm nervous and excited but I feel it is certainly time to do this! I do have blemishes on my face that I have tried and failed to clear up. If this works, they should clear in a matter of days. I am relieved to finally discover that I can have a bit of solid food, but literally a bit. Nino gave me a list of foods and explained all of the portion sizes. Were you aware that 2oz of broccoli is two small stalks? Neither was I. I'm adjusting to the idea that I can barely eat solid foods. It's going to be rough... |

Day 1: Hungry like a wolf |
|
| 8AM: rise and shine! I crawled out of bed and reluctantly dressed to head over to Frapez for the ingredients to my 3 day detox plan. My stomach was already grumbling, begging to be fed. I ignored its pleas as I entered the gray San Francisco morning. Just to give you a bit of an indication of my normal diet, my meal plan generally follows this format each day: | |
|
|
| As you can see, I am a fervent eater and appreciate ingesting solid, tasty food. Which explains why on this particular morning I am questioning my own sanity. Really? How will I go three days without solid food? I digress... | |
|
I arrived at Frapez around 8:30 am and was greeted by Uka. As she prepared my smoothies, teas and other drinks for the next two days, she passed me a 1 ounce glass of Wheatgrass juice. My stomach grumbled as I downed the green juice, noticing that it has quite a different and interesting taste. The health benefits are insurmountable: it contains chlorophyll, which aids the blood in carrying oxygen to all the cells. It is also meant to help remove toxic metals contained in much of the products I use daily. |

| Uka passes me my Frapez breakfast: a Green Hard Core smoothie with fresh dandelion, green apple, broccoli, daikon, lemon, fresh ginger and nettles tea. Smooth and creamy, it slowly filled my now begging stomach, leaving an aromatic taste of lemon and ginger in my mouth. | |
Ok, felling a little better now! Uka passed me the rest of the two day supply, explaining in detail what I needed to do with each and the suggested times of day to take them. |

Arriving home I stacked all juices, teas and smoothies in the fridge. Hunger pangs came in spurts, yet I felt somehow revitalized. Based on the way I felt, I could tell the ingredients were all natural as promised. I did not taste any sugar in anything so far. In fact, most of the items had very organic tastes. The morning gave way to afternoon. Around 1PM I was starving, yet very energized and elated. I opened my lunch: Green Detox juice derived from cabbage, broccoli, celery, green apple, dandelion, cucumber and lemon. After finishing the concoction, my hunger subsided slightly and I felt a dramatic and sudden burst of energy. I left the house to, ironically, shop for groceries (yeah, it was pure torture to see all the fresh foods). | ![]() |

Around 3PM, I started to feel weak and tired- the lack of solid food began to take its toll on me. I lay on the couch, a bit dizzy and weakened. I could feel changes occurring in my body- as though the very cells buzzed about like I was sparkling on the inside out. I desperately wanted food, but knew this is just part of the process. When fasting, the body freaks out at first in the absence of solid food until it acclimates itself to the detox program. I staggered to the fridge to drink the dandelion tea. Dandelion Tea is meant to be a digestive tonic and blood cleanser, let me say I certainly can tell! My body tingled, and I could practically feel the blood moving though my extremities. It was an energizing effect that I could feel from within. The tea sustained me for another two hours as I played catch up with various work assignments. |
Around 6PM I was finally, FINALLY allowed some solid food and thank goodness as I was beginning to think certain passers- by on the street looked tasty! (kidding) I bit into the green apple like a rabid lioness and as a result of my fasting, opted to eat very slowly in order to savor each bit. I felt it fill my stomach and a subsequent sense of relief. After eating, I was a bit hazy to the point where reading a paragraph of email text looked like fuzz. I then remembered that detoxing is meant to be a mental and often spiritual experience as well. Closing my laptop, I laid back, releasing the banging thoughts from my mind one by one until I was almost completely relaxed. After that, I dozed off... |
|
| When fasting, you cannot focus on your own hunger. Only on slowing down and entering a very different state of mind. It was hard for me today, but I am learning how to handle it. As I prepared for bed, I felt sluggish and exhausted. My body ached and I felt weak. | |
Bear in mind, the muscle pain and weakness is simply my body getting rid of metals and toxins cooped up in there for such a long time. |
|
| Ah. Sleep. | |
Day 2: Revitalizing |
|
![]() |
I awoke this morning with my stomach grumbling for food. The tingling sensations in my extremities have quelled. What a relief. Time for my tiny wheatgrass juice to get my system moving! I took the one ounce portion of it and gulped it down quickly. Its strange, grassy taste is certainly an acquired one. The Detox Harmony breakfast smoothie this morning was fantastic! A maroon color, it is comprised of brazil nuts, apple, beets, spirulina, wheat grass, milk thistle, dandelion, lemon, grapefruit juice, and coconut milk. It tasted amazing! Just thick enough to fill my desperate stomach and ease my body's hunger mode. After breakfast I checked my face in the mirror and realized to my utter surprise that the breakouts I experienced for the last few weeks were disappearing! After one day on this program my skin was brighter and looked clearer! Unbelievable! |
|
I remembered Nino explaining that skin is the largest organ in the body. He emphasized that depending on what is put into the body, the skin will reflect it. I am seeing evidence of this now after only 24 hours. Lunch time came around and I drank the Green Detox juice again. I'm getting used to the taste of it. Although bizarre, it really makes me feel energized. My hunger has completely subsided and I am able to go for a mid afternoon run for the first time in two days. As evening approaches, the gripping starvation returns for about 2 hours. It subsided after I drank lemonade spiced with cayenne pepper. |

|
For dinner I had celery ribs, which lower blood pressure, help suppress appetite, have anti-inflammatory properties and are an excellent source of vitamin C. Eating them helped suppress the hunger again. Perhaps because it was something solid. Tonight, I didn't go to bed hungry. Although I could truly eat a horse at this point- I did notice how much better I looked! My skin is luminescent. That is worth everything... |
Day 3: Final Day |
|
Finally, absolutely no hunger when waking up this morning. It completely subsided and I found myself actually looking forward to another tasty smoothie! |

I headed into the store around 8:30 AM and met with Uka who handed me a 1 oz glass of Ginger juice. Swallowing it, I was not prepared for the spicy, gripping taste! Uka laughed at the face I made as I tried to drink it. It was a biting, spicy and aromatic which opened my sinus cavity and allowed me to breathe easier. Thank Goodness that was only one ounce! Uka passed me my Spring breakfast smoothie comprised of almond, plum, apple, avocado, chlorella, wheat grass, nutritional yeast, honey, grapefruit juice and almond milk. This, by far, was my favorite one! Delicious, sweet and creamy- it was liquid heaven trickling down into my stomach. I'm definitely getting his one next time I am in there. |
I was given my supply of beverages and went on my way. |
| I'm not feeling any side effects anymore at this point. My body has completely readjusted to the detox program and I am no longer hungry and listless. I have energy and my skin is glowing. Not bad... |

Lunch rolls around and it's now time for Green Detox juice again, a consistent taste which I have grown accustomed to. Not my favorite of all the beverages I have tried. I think the Spring smoothie is my ultimate favorite. For dinner I am allowed to eat Radish, it is very low calorie and a very good source of antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and dietary fiber. I ate it completely plain. By bedtime I didn't feel hungry at all anymore. In fact, I am feeling energetic and revitalized. I'm thoroughly impressed with the change in my skin. I was not expecting this and that just proves, absolutely that Frapez ingredients are completely natural. To this point I have never tasted any additives in any of the drinks. Thank you Frapez for being true to your word! |
Exit consultation and summary of the program |
|
On the fourth day I arrived at Frapez mid afternoon for my exit consultation with nutritionist Nino. Upon seeing me he remarked about my clear, glowing skin. We sat down again to review the program in order to see if I have met all of my nutrition goals. He continued to teach me about different ingredients in Frapez smoothies and their extensive health benefits. | |

Overall I will say that detox is not easy at first. The first day was the hardest for me, especially since I could not eat anything solid. I had side effects: I felt dizzy, had headaches and was tired and run down. The second day I started to improve from this- only experiencing hunger in spurts and bursts of energy after drinking the smoothies. By the third day I felt energized and my skin looked amazing. I could feel a notable difference in how I felt overall. My skin, the largest organ on my body, showed the effects of this the most. Not only did my blemishes clear up but my face glowed by the third day because of how many healthy materials I consumed in the smoothies. |
|
The program also decreased and eliminated my cravings for salt and sugar. Prior to starting it I would get food cravings for sweets such as cake or cookies several times a day. After finishing the detox program these cravings subsided completely. I want to eat fresh, natural foods now as I am more conscious about what I ingest and the effects it has on my bodily functions. Nino explained to me that acidic food is the biggest problem in most diets. He also explained the difference between acid forming foods and acidic foods. Acid forming foods, he said, create acid in our systems. These are foods like sugar, breads, refined foods and processed foods. Our body reacts to these foods in different ways: in my case- I was getting blemishes frequently until I started the detox program and they cleared away. Acidic foods like lemon can actually be beneficial in small quantities to our bodies. |

NONE of Frapez's products contain salt or sugar. They are all natural and the effects on my own body definitely prove this claim. After tasting all of the smoothies in the program, I know this claim is correct.
Nino recommended that I do a detox every 4-5 months. He says springtime is the best time since everything in nature rejuvenates. I know from this point on I will. Its effects are lasting and I am very impressed with how I feel and now look. I purchased most of the ingredients from Frapez, as most of their ingredients in the smoothies are sold in the store. I certainly recommend this program to anyone who cares about their health and well being. Nino is very knowledgeable and educated me about nutrition. He patiently answered most of my questions concerning the program to ensure that I understood the reasons for all of the various juices. |
Thank you Frapez for my new lifestyle change! |
